Come and join the artisan felter, Eve Marshall and learn the instant gratification of wet felting. Don’t worry if you are new to felting you will learn many techniques in this workshop and at the end, return home with a new skill, feeling accomplished and inspired. Get ready to impress yourself with what you can achieve using just a hook and some yarn.
During this taster felting workshop you will learn how to make 2 wet felted flowers using Merino Wool and Silk fibres. The techniques are easy for anyone to do with just a bit of hot water and soap we agitate the fibres to stick together and then sculpt them into beautiful flower shapes. This course will focus on playing with colours and is a great introduction to wet felting.
Eve has been working creatively with felt for over eighteen years using a variety of wet and dry felting techniques. Her original artwork pieces can have over 50 fine layers of wool and other textural pieces to add depth and realism. She has always been inspired by nature and wildlife and loves to see how much detail she can create using wool.
